My work is informed by my family dynamics, our day to day struggles and how those notions of hardships are perceived or shared. I incorporate materials of personal significance into installation-based pieces frequently including elements of performance. I am engaged by the reality of hereditary disease, degenerative health and the idea of inherited responsibility. The creation of the work answers a need to understand these themes alongside those of labor and tradition.
